Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor and morning reporter for WCBD TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's reports on the lenient police approach towards DUI cases caused the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in State authorities issuing an even more strict directive on DUI instances. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell, after her stint working in Charleston reporting, was a co-anchor at NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring into Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter during weekends. O'Dell, as well as being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's covered events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of Pre-ShowArrivals shows to The Emmys and the Golden Globes. She hosted both The Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
